Ella's STUDENT OF THE MONTH award!

Every 6 weeks Ella's classroom gives out a "student of the month" award to one child who has done something outstanding. This month Ella got it for "Caring, putting people before yourself". The teacher sent a note home letting us know she was going to receive the award that Friday at the flagpole ceremony. It's a pretty big deal considering there are 24 kids in her class, so only about 7 awards are given out all year. It was a big surprise for Ella. She was so embarrassed when the principle called out her name in front of the entire school. She acted so cool, calm and collected (sounds like someone else I know, PK). It was so cute. We are so proud of her ;-}

It was ALSO Hawaiian dress up day.

This was the secret note Mrs. Slegers (Ella's teacher) sent home to let us know she was getting the award.

Lining up for the flagpole ceremony.

When the principle called out...ELLA KEUS!

Soooo cool & calm.
